Rules and Regulations

Definitions

Competition: Kyocera Mita Europe Service Award Competition which will be held in the following countries: Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Finland, United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Netherlands, South Africa, Sweden/Norway, Germany

Eligible Applicant: Technician from a party that has contracted with Kyocera Mita to provide technician services and one who must have completed Basic Training of at least two years within two years preceding this Competition. No Kyocera employees, Dealer Managers or Trainers or participants of the Train-The-Trainer Program are allowed to enter.

Contestant: Eligible Applicant who takes part in this Competition.


Registration
Prior to entering the Competition the Eligible Applicant must read in full these Rules and Regulations. Once the Eligible Applicant has read the Rules and Regulations he/she may then register for entry.

Registration for entry is confirmation that the Eligible Applicant accepts all the Rules and Regulations of this Competition and that he/she wishes to become a Contestant.


How to take part?
Stage 1: This is an On-line questionnaire contest which will be conducted by the Kyocera Mita Sales Company in the Contestant’s respective country. The top scoring Contestants (the number to be determined by each Kyocera Mita Europe Sales Company) will be permitted to proceed to Stage 2 of the Competition. Scoring for this stage is as follows:

• no answer on a question = 0 points
• a correct answer = 1 point
• wrong answer = deduction of 0.5 points

Stage 2: The successful Contestants from Step 1 will then take part in a country wide stage of the Competition. During this stage of the Competition, Contestants will compete by performing theoretical and practical tests. The best performing Contestants in each participating country (the number to be determined by each Kyocera Mita Europe Sales Company) will then be permitted to proceed to Stage 3 of the Competition. No more than 12 Contestants in total can proceed to Stage 3.

Stage 3: This is the final part of the Competition. During this stage the 12 Contestants will compete in a European wide stage of the Competition which will be held at Kyocera Mita Europe in Meerbusch, Germany. This stage of the Competition will involve Contestants competing with each other on theoretical and practical tests.

Prizes
Stage 1: Online Competition
Kyocera Mita Europe is not obliged to give prizes for this stage of the Competition. The respective Kyocera Mita Sales Company will be responsible for awarding prizes for this stage of the Competition.

Stage 2: Country wide Competition
Kyocera Mita Europe is not obliged to give prizes for this stage of the Competition. The respective Kyocera Mita Sales Company will be responsible for awarding prizes for this stage of the Competition.

Stage 3: European wide Competition
These prizes will be awarded by Kyocera Mita Europe.

1st prize: One week in Japan, all inclusive (flights, accommodation, meals and transport), including a tour of the Kyocera Corporation Headquarters in Kyoto.
2nd prize: A holiday voucher worth €2.000.
3rd prize: A holiday voucher worth €1.000.

Please note: Kyocera Mita will not convert any prizes into cash. Prizes will not be transferred to any other person.

Important
At all 3 stages only one entry per Contestant can be made.

The results of the Competition at all stages are determined by Kyocera Mita Sales Companies (Stage 1 and Stage 2) and Kyocera Mita Europe (Stage 3), and the results are final.

Contestants’ personal data will only be used for the purpose of this Competition and use of this personal information will be subject to the relevant data protection laws in force in the country where the Contestant is taking part in the Competition. The provision of personal data or information is voluntary although failure to supply all information requested may result in Kyocera Mita not being able to process the Contestant’s participation in the Competition.

Kyocera Mita Europe reserves the right to withdraw the Competition at any stage of the Competition.

Kyocera Mita Europe will not be liable for any damage, loss or disappointment suffered by any person taking part or not being able to take part in this Competition.

Use of false name or address, e.g. name, by which the Contestant is not usually known, will disqualify them from receiving any prize.

No recourse is available, legal or otherwise.
